Audit on Administrative Office and Investigation

• • Muju County Council conducts an audit on administrative office against office work of Muju County within 7 days during the second regular meeting annually, and as for special matters, it conducts an administrative office audit by which it reinforces monitoring function of administrative transparency and execution practices; in time of investigation of special matters among Muju County's office work, a motion for investigation under the joint signature of over one-third of the members on the register should be made.
• • An audit and investigation can be done by a field survey or by the request of related papers and the council can let the magistrate or the public officials concerned be presented at the council where they give witness' testimony. If someone is found to do perjury in the process of audit and investigation, he/she could be accused, if a witness asked to present him/herself at the council doesn't attend without any valid reason or deny testimony, penalties of less than 5 million won could be imposed on the person.
